COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

Free Bread and Frozen Food

Tuesdays 11.30am – 1.30pm ONLY

Free! A selection of donated bread, frozen meals and a small amount of staples and non-perishables.

Please sign in and don’t forget to B.Y.O bag!

Our free food Tuesdays rely on donations from Woolworths, Encounter Baptist Church, Rotary Club of Monash, Lions Club of Ashwood and Mount Waverley, Father Bob Maguire Foundation, Bendigo Bank and the Victorian State Government.

We are very grateful for the support from these services and for our Volunteers who give their time each week to make this happen!

Community Garden

Pop in anytime to enjoy a cuppa and sit in our gardens. Did you know that gardens and plants can be so good for your physical and mental health.

Come and help keep this garden a beautiful place for the community. Anytime that suits you. Cuppa and snack included!

Internet Access

We have several laptops that are available for public use, or bring your own and use our WiFi. Bookings appreciated.

Room Hire

We have 2 rooms available for hire with use of the kitchen, garden and bathrooms. If you plan to run a workshop, hold a meeting or event, please get in touch.

We have two rooms at Power Neighbourhood House:

Activity Room

A larger space that’s perfect for meetings, functions and gatherings. The activity room has a large Smart TV on the wall, white board and retractable Screen.

Lounge Room

Our lounge room has a large corner sofa and dining table. It will seat up to 15 people for a more informal, relaxed setting.

Book Library

Street Libraries are a beautiful home for books, right here in your local community!

Books come and go, no-one needs to check them in or out. People can simply reach in and take what interests them, when they are done they can return them, keep them, or pass them on to someone else.

If anyone has a book or two that they think others would enjoy, they can pop it into any Street Library they pass.

Browse our free outdoor library or our books indoors. We offer a collection of books to borrow or keep.

We would like to thank Monash Men’s shed for building the Library and Julie for painting it!

Community Pantry

Take what you need and give what you can!

The community Pantry is for everyone in our local community and is intended to help those who are in need.

Our pantry offers non-perishable food, toiletries, toys, clothing and practical items.

Our Community Pantry relies on the generosity of our locals, with regular donations from Encounter Baptist Church, Rotary, Charmaine and Siew, for which we are very thankful!

The pantry was built and donated by Monash Rotary.

Drop In Service

We have staff and volunteers who can provide advice, assistance or referrals to a range of services in our community.

We can help with form filling, grocery assistance, or a just a listening ear, cuppa and a chat.
